The GDE4000 controller is a device for controlling demand and fine-tuning the overall power factor of a consumer unit. This control is performed in synchronization with the utility's measurement, using data provided by the meter's user serial output.

The GDE4000 controller allows you to control 8 loads or capacitors directly at its outputs, or up to 120 outputs via remote control units (RTA4000), installed on an RS485 or Ethernet 10/100M network at different points. Of these 120 outputs, 32 can be used to control the power factor in addition to the usual loads for demand control.

The GDE4000 keeps a history of up to 60 days of autonomy in its memory, storing active and reactive demand data for each measurement period, which allows the management of billable energy quantities online (kWh, kW, kVArh, among others). This architecture enables comprehensive and integrated management of energy consumption, helping companies optimize their energy expenditure and maintain more effective control over their demands and power factors.

The GDE4000 has parameterization and visualization software included, and is compatible with the Power5000 advanced energy management system, Power3000 apportionment software, and has a memory map for insertion into supervisory systems. Such integrations allow for better contracting, instant alarms via email or SMS, and reports that assist in optimized energy contracting.
